2 weeks out and the hard yards.

Hi Oxygirls! I hope you all enjoyed Filex, if i saw you there, it was great to meet you ;-) Well, 2 weeks out and I’m giving everything I’ve got and just a little more too……..I will tell you now, I have never worked this hard. Either I forgot how hard it was, or I am working harder than I ever have before.

6 weeks out and sleep.

Hi Fitness Friends!

Well another 2 weeks has passed and progress is being made. I wont bore you with the caliper readings this time as week to week the drops now are fairly small, I will keep them under wraps until the final week where we can compare the overall 20weeks figures!

I’m half way. 10 weeks down, 10weeks to go.

So instead of looking ahead to next 10weeks and seeing how far I have to go, lets enjoy reflecting on the hard earned results so far!

12weeks out and Mental Strength.

Well its arrived, the 3month mark. I prefer to say 3 months, as it sounds longer than 12weeks. The weeks really are slipping away from me now. I haven’t exactly been cruising along for the last 8weeks, but at 12weeks out my head needs to switch into the next gear, its time to put my head down and bum up. Work hard, diet hard, train hard……...oh and sleep even harder.

14weeks out and a game of numbers.

I have been off the radar for the last few weeks, my tonsillitis flowed into a chest infection, which flowed into a cold – or flu, whichever sounds more pitiful.

I didn’t train for 11days, the longest 11 days of my life. Which results in a very grumpy Penny. The expression “Caged Lion” springs to mind.

But a couple of days ago I had my caliper measurements and was still pleased and I am still on track!

17weeks out and a recipe for success.

17weeks out from comp and I must admit I have surprised myself with the progress in just 3 weeks into comp prep. Even after all these years of training experience and changing peoples body composition, it still amazes me the reaction of the human body and what it is capable of doing in such a short period of time when it is done right.

As if the start of a new year isn’t poignant enough, the 1st of January not only closed the door on what was a tough year, but for me it also marked my competition preparation 20weeks out – its Show Time!

Perth, Hormones and Fish!

I’m coming to you from my sunny hometown of Perth this week. I have taken an extended ‘business trip’, and when I say business I mean leisurely, and when I say trip I mean holiday.

Firstly, I am over this side of the country attending a seminar by the well renowned Canadian Strength and Conditioning coach Charles Poliquin and gaining my Biosignature Modulation Practitioner Certification.
