After 8 years of being a PT, I have noticed two trends: 1. more average gym members are seeking a quick fix from illegal substances. 2. more people seem to be becoming trainers for the 15 minutes of fame they may receive on Facebook rather than to help people!

I know this time of year scares the hell out of many women (me included), especially those of us who really don’t want to gain weight or any of us who are on their way to reaching their health and fitness goals. The Parties , BBQ s, eating out, drinking and being out of routine doesn’t have to be so scary if you just be a bit mindful of your health and feeling good rather than just sabotaging yourself by stuffing as much in your mouth as possible just because it is Christmas!!! Remember our body is our Temple not a Trash can!!!!!Try practicing the 80/20 rule and don’t put pressure on yourself to be ‘PERFECT”. Us woman are always feeling guilty of eating off plan!!! Try planning a few little treats into your day; try to lose the guilt ladies.Focus on eating to feel good and on your health! Love this time of year. Look around you at all the things you have to be Grateful about and focus on ENJOYING the moment! Living RIGHT NOW!!

So life is cruising along nicely! I’m run off my feet with work and my own training which I thrive on! I love being busy but when I’m this busy I always have to listen to my body and if I need a day off I have to take it or I will come crashing down! So today is all about rest and recovery as I have been a little under the weather the last couple of days! And if I do this by tomorrow I will be back firing on all cylinders lol...

Well here we are on the 2nd day of my favourite month. Winter went really quick for me this year. My last 3 months have been extremely busy! My clients have been doing a 12 week challenge and I have to say it was one of the busiest winters ever for my personal training business.
