I was speaking to one of my new personal training clients the other day who said quite convincingly how she can’t control her ‘food binges’ because of hormones. “I just crave chocolate and anything sweet” was how she described it. “For about two weeks leading up to my period I feel I really need it and can’t stop binging”.

Well they say things happen in threes and it certainly did happen for me that way last week. I started the week with a fantastic article in The Herald Sun newspaper. This was all about a section in my new book and the benefits of clean eating which was spread over three pages!

I was having an in depth discussion with my hairdresser the other day (as one does) and she asked me if I’ve ever been on a detox diet. “Define what you mean by detox?” I asked. “You know...one of those healthy cleansing diets” was her reply.

Has anyone else noticed how the gym is less busy during our colder months? While training my clients in the early hours this week I have definitely noticed a drop in the number of people at the gym.

I was sitting in the breakfast bar having my poached eggs and wondering what excitement awaits me at the Filex convention. But where is the Oxygen stand? Oh ..then I have to register and there’s sooo many people ...and pick up my outfit. Panic was starting to set in

After a power walk with a friend (note to self…stop making your friends power walk when they want to catch up) we were having coffee when he proudly mentioned how he’s cut back on his sugar intake to only one teaspoon per cup instead of two, and now only has two cups of coffee a day. “Well that’s a pretty good effort” I said not entirely convinced.

What a fantastic weekend! So lovely to see so many like- minded people all under the one roof at the Fit-x show in Melbourne. You could strike up a conversation about training, fitness in general and of course healthy eating with who ever you bumped into.

Most days I train at the gym and do a weight session, one day a week I love to walk the 1000 steps, sometimes I do a power walk or some interval training.
